Interior Ministry: 45 fugitives and 46 residency violators apprehended in security campaign in the capital

- The operation resulted in 257 security, traffic, and supervisory arrests and measures

The Sector for Security Directorates Affairs, represented by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, carried out an extensive security campaign to apprehend wanted individuals and violators, and to enhance security presence, as part of continuous security efforts to enforce the law and maintain public order and safety.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the campaign led to the establishment of four checkpoints, the arrest of four wanted individuals in connection with criminal cases, three wanted for civil execution, 38 wanted under arrest warrants, 46 violators of the residency law, two casual laborers, and 14 individuals due to outstanding absence reports against them.

The ministry added that the campaign also resulted in the seizure of four cases of drug possession, two individuals in possession of alcoholic beverages, and two individuals engaged in gambling, alongside issuing 54 traffic violations, seizing 25 vehicles subject to judicial impoundment, and removing 57 abandoned vehicles.

The ministry noted that, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, a violation was issued and a shop selling spoiled meat was closed, with two of its employees referred to the police station.

The total outcome of the campaign, in terms of security presence and arrests, amounted to 257, while the necessary legal and administrative measures were taken against those apprehended and violators, each according to their respective jurisdiction.
