'Ministry of Electricity': Reinstating the Sixth Ring Main Substation W to Service

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced the restoration of electricity to all areas affected by the outage.

Prior to this, the ministry indicated that the main substation at the 6th Circular Road W had been returned to service, and confirmed that work is underway to gradually restore electricity to all substations connected to it.

Earlier, the ministry had announced that several main substations had been taken out of service due to a technical fault, which led to power outages in several areas in the Hawalli and Al-Mubarrah Al-Kabir governorates.

The ministry clarified that its emergency teams are on site, working to resolve the fault and restore electricity to the affected areas as quickly as possible.
