Ministry of Health Celebrates Graduation of 140 Kuwaiti Students from the Faculties of Human Medicine and Dentistry at Alexandria University

The mantle rests on doctors: Graduation is not the end of the road, but the beginning of a new phase of responsibility

Kuwaiti students from the Faculty of Dentistry and Human Medicine studying at Alexandria University held their graduation ceremony for the current year 2026, attended by the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sand, the Director of the Dental Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jaber Taqi, the President of the Association of General Practitioners, Dr. Faisal Ishaq Al-Kandari, and the students’ families.

Speaking at the ceremony, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sand, said: “Today, we Kuwaitis take pride in the graduation of 140 male and female students from our country, following a journey of hard work and diligence at the prestigious Alexandria University, whose academic history spans decades filled with the graduation of doctors, scientists, and innovators.” He congratulated the graduates and their parents on this achievement, emphasizing that they represent a promising addition to the healthcare system in the State of Kuwait.

Dr. Al-Sand addressed the graduates with a message stressing that graduation is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a new phase of responsibility. He noted that from this day forward, they assume the trust of safeguarding human health and dignity, pointing out that the dental profession combines science, skill, and compassion, and that a doctor speaks to hearts before treating bodies.

For his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hushash, President of the Kuwaiti Students Union at Alexandria University’s Faculty of Dentistry, said: “I dedicate my success, as well as that of my classmates, to our beloved homeland, the State of Kuwait, and to my family. On this occasion, I thank my father and mother for their endurance and encouragement, and I thank my dear country, Kuwait.” Al-Hushash also commended the efforts of the faculty members and highlighted the significant role played by parents in supporting their children to reach this milestone.
