Transforming Lebanon into an International Protectorate

Transforming Lebanon into an International Protectorate

It has been said that, were it not for shame, people would devour one another. Evil has proliferated, a whirlwind of devils has swept through, while the nation has been shrouded in the disgrace of injustice, and people’s misery has intensified through marginalization and disenfranchisement.

A stance and its opposite: We believed and acknowledged that our country is a space where the shadows of livelihood do not constrict, yet we were taken in by the heresy of partnership in coexistence. We worked to draft legislation to protect this land, so that we might all find happiness; for life is the noblest of loves, and value lies in its defense, not in hostility toward the living—a behavior mastered by the barbarians of the modern era.

We spread out the Charter in its entirety, hoping the nation would awaken to safety. However, the aggressors did not preserve it; instead, they armed themselves with illegal weapons, an ideology of war, and a culture of death. This has left the country’s fabric riddled with black holes, confirming that evil resides within people and will never perish. The aggressors have entrenched the subversion of national values, stabbing at the state’s existence and sovereignty, and usurping its authority. Consequently, the state has become merely a declaration on a wall, erased at the first downpour.

This decline in belonging and loyalty has destroyed people’s dream of aspiring to a free homeland where the hopes of future generations are not dashed. This provocative degradation has written the document of sovereignty’s collapse, flattening the concept of the state and producing disillusionment and a contraction in the resolve of those committed to national partnership. Trust has been shaken, and feelings of frustration have grown.

Some individuals delved so deeply into a rose-tinted dream that they mistook it for reality, living it with passion and fervor. However, awakening after a series of shocks targeting existence, destiny, and the state’s entity marked a miserable end to a wandering mirage. Cardboard-like hope cracked, transforming into deadly despair, as the oppressive falsity became clear, rendering lived reality hopeless, even at its core.

The root of the problem: The problem lies in the existence of the homeland, i.e., the state entity, which is the most sensitive and dangerous issue. The danger lies in erasing the relational bond between the individual and the land, and reducing the organic integration between the citizen and the homeland to mere carrion. True sovereigns have proven that this existential image was not artificial, but profoundly faith-based, radiating principles and values that deepen integration and partnership with the national entity, in the past and in the future.

The interpretation of this complex equation lies in the word “destiny.” The faction that lives an integrative, destiny-bound state with its national entity, forming a partnership model and a state of absolute identification, rejects the definition offered by “non-entity” proponents that Lebanon is a homeland of coincidence. This is a rejected conspiracy, cheered on by those who betray the homeland.

Those who possess the essence of statehood consider the land an extension of their selves and the environment of their existential entity forever. Consequently, they followed a path that strengthened their vital bond with the homeland, deepening with it the sacred relationship that crystallized the nation. Today, they represent a resistance to any conspiratorial planning and work to entrench a state-centric culture that safeguards concepts and attributes sanctity to the entity, in the face of those who seek to undermine it. Those who do so commit an original sin, indeed, a heinous crime.

The accumulated crimes and their cascading repercussions have thwarted what was termed the National Pact, which called for forging bonds of shared loyalty to the homeland, adhering to the values of nationalism, unity, and independence, and embracing the defense of justice, freedom, and equality.

In the face of the hubris that has blocked the paths of reason among those who exaggerate and adopt a “Stalinist” methodology rejected by the ages of Enlightenment, and confronting the language of terrorist arrogance, the distribution of certificates of treason and collaboration, the treatment of some people as subjects or captives, and threats of violence and civil war, it is impossible to discuss the substance of this shattered shared vision. This inevitably leads to an urgent call to transform Lebanon into an international protectorate.

The current circumstances clearly reveal the underlying backgrounds and objectives. Authoritarianism insists that the strong view people as inoculated puppets or wandering corpses, persisting in evil, chaos, and defiance of norms and pacts. With this, calls for hybrid formations that upset the balance and erase the national identity flourish.

In light of this behavior, only one demand emerges: the struggle to establish a sovereign state over the entire territory of the homeland, one that holds its own decisions and provides its citizens with freedom, justice, peace, stability, and confidence in the future, based on unified constants and concepts of citizenship and the inevitable relationship with a homeland of definitive identity.

Amid oppression, coercion, discrimination, aggression, and the preaching of a fitna that will crush the homeland, do not expect cowardice, a retreat of arrogance, or acceptance of domestication. Dignity comes before health. We are not yet certain, at least not today, that some “selves” have dissolved into the self of Lebanon; we still doubt that this will happen. Therefore, for the salvation of the homeland, we call for transforming Lebanon into an international protectorate.
