Ataa inaugurates a mosque and a water well in Chad

Al-Ajran: Construction costs start at 1,688 dinars, and projects are implemented in five countries

Ahmed Al-Ajran, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aataa for Humanitarian Work, confirmed that the association continues to implement its humanitarian and development projects in the most needy countries. He pointed to the opening of a mosque in Chad, which can accommodate approximately 180 worshippers, and is equipped with carpets, sound systems, and ablution areas, along with a freshwater well.

Al-Ajran stated that mosque projects represent one of the channels for ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), and are not limited to facilitating religious rituals, but also contribute to teaching Islamic creed and jurisprudence, promoting the moderate Islamic approach, and serving the communities of beneficiary areas.

He clarified that the cost of building a mosque starts at 1,688 Kuwaiti dinars, while the association implements its projects in five countries, based on studies that identify the most needy areas in Africa and Asia.

He noted the association’s commitment to working with implementing entities accredited by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs and possessing experience in project execution, thereby ensuring work quality and guaranteeing that donations reach their rightful recipients.

He added that the association strives, whenever possible, to provide water sources near mosques, given their impact on reducing diseases and alleviating the hardships faced by locals in accessing water, and he extended his gratitude to donors for their continuous support of the association’s projects.
