“Foreign Ministry”: Serious escalation and undermining of diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks on the territories of Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted states, and a flagrant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a serious escalation that would complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region, holding Iran fully legally responsible for these attacks and their repercussions and consequences.

Qatar reiterated its full solidarity with sister states and its support for all legitimate measures they take to preserve their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry stressed the urgent need for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening the security and stability of the region, refraining from anything that could expand the circle of escalation, and returning seriously to the path of dialogue and negotiations, as well as committing to the understandings achieved through diplomatic efforts.
