US Army: We successfully completed a wave of strikes targeting Iranian air defenses, radars, and naval capabilities

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. forces successfully completed a wave of strikes targeting Iranian military sites.

In a statement today, CENTCOM said the strikes hit targets belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, including air defense sites, radar systems, naval capabilities and facilities, as well as mine-laying capabilities and communication sites.

It added that the strikes came in response to recent attacks by the Revolutionary Guard against commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and against U.S. military personnel.

CENTCOM confirmed that more than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are currently operating across the Middle East and are on alert and prepared to continue carrying out operations directed by the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
