Kuwait Finance House received widespread praise from the ministers and senior officials participating in the closing ceremony of the national drug prevention campaign, “A Nation That Protects You,” in recognition of its prominent community role and active contributions to the campaign’s success, as part of government efforts to enhance awareness of drug risks and mitigate their negative impacts on society.

Participants emphasized that Kuwait Finance House exemplifies a distinguished model of effective public-private partnership, through its consistent commitment to initiating and supporting national projects and initiatives aimed at serving the community across various fields.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Sabah, commended the pioneering community role played by Kuwait Finance House, affirming that the Bank’s contributions to various community projects and initiatives are highly appreciated for providing genuine support to societal issues and needs.

Speaking after the closing ceremony of the “A Nation That Protects You” campaign, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef stated that Kuwait Finance House’s contribution to the campaign was pivotal and fundamental, making a tangible impact in achieving its awareness objectives.

He added that the Bank has made notable contributions in this field, most notably its support for the Addiction Treatment Center, which aids in the treatment and rehabilitation of recovering individuals and assists relevant authorities in confronting this scourge and limiting its repercussions on society.

A Model of Community Responsibility

The ceremony was attended by the Ministers of Justice and Health, as well as the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, who all appreciated Kuwait Finance House’s role in supporting community work generally, and its participation as a strategic partner in the “A Nation That Protects You” campaign specifically.

The ministers expressed their appreciation for the Bank’s support of numerous government projects and initiatives aimed at serving the community across diverse fields, affirming that its institutional approach to community work represents a benchmark for the Kuwaiti private sector.

For his part, Haitham Al-Turkiet, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Technology and Operations at Kuwait Finance House Group, affirmed that the Bank’s participation as a strategic partner in the “A Nation That Protects You” campaign extends its pioneering community role and its commitment to supporting national and awareness-raising initiatives that benefit Kuwaiti society.

He explained that the campaign provided a successful model of institutional integration and cooperation between the public and private sectors, serving the community.

Al-Turkiet extended his thanks and appreciation to all entities, institutions, and individuals who contributed to the campaign’s success, commending the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and its pivotal role in the campaign. He also expressed his appreciation to the participating ministries and agencies, whose collaboration helped achieve the campaign’s objectives and convey its awareness and national messages.

For his part, Yusuf Abdullah Al-Ruwaih, Head of Public Relations and Media at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), affirmed that the bank continues to support national and awareness-raising initiatives that serve the community and enhance its development across various sectors, in line with its institutional mission, entrenched values, and leading position in corporate social responsibility. He emphasized that KFH’s participation in the “A Nation That Protects You” campaign stems from the bank’s conviction that the role of national institutions extends beyond their core operations to include active contributions supporting initiatives and projects that benefit society and improve quality of life.

He noted that corporate social responsibility at KFH represents a sustained commitment and an effective partnership with state institutions, underscoring the bank’s dedication to supporting national and awareness-raising initiatives that embody its approach to social responsibility, by directing contributions toward societal priorities and enhancing the sustainable impact of institutional partnerships.

Strategic Contributions by Kuwait Finance House

- Establishment and opening of the tenth wing of the Addiction Treatment Hospital, at a total cost of KD 4.5 million.

- Contribution of KD 15 million for the construction and equipping of the Heart Diseases and Research Center at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.

- Contribution of KD 8 million for the reconstruction of the area damaged by the fire at Al-Mubarakiya Market.

- Contribution of KD 20 million to establish 15 ambulance centers in support of the healthcare system.

- Launch of a strategic initiative with Adil (the Kuwaiti Debtors’ Support Center) to settle the debts of indebted individuals, with KFH contributing KD 61 million since 2019.

- Contribution of KD 10 million to the fund supporting government efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic, along with an additional independent contribution.

- Contribution of USD 13 million to support the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund.

- Contribution of USD 6 million to repair damaged power stations.
