Trump to Fox News: If Iran responds to our strikes, it could be completely wiped out

- Today’s strike was “very large,” and Washington has given Tehran many chances and does not rely on any agreement with it

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on Tuesday not to retaliate against recent U.S. strikes, stressing that it would face much harsher attacks if it did so, and could be “completely erased as a state” if the escalation occurred a third time.

Trump said in a call with Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst that “if Iran retaliates, it will face much harsher strikes,” adding that the strike carried out by the United States today was “very large,” and that “if it happens a third time, it will be completely erased as a state.”

On the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran, Trump said he did not believe any deal with Iran could be relied upon, adding: “I think any agreement with them is not worth the paper it’s written on,” and noting that the United States had given Iran “many chances.”

He added that U.S. forces had destroyed a large part of Iran’s radar network, clarifying that Tehran had attempted to rebuild its radars after losing its surveillance capability, and that U.S. forces waited until the reconstruction process was nearly complete before targeting them again.

Trump pointed out that the U.S. aircraft carrier George Washington was loaded with ammunition to capacity, adding that U.S. forces were “fully equipped.”
