Kuwait condemns the incursion of an Israeli official into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and rejects changes to its historical and legal status quo

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and rejection of the incursion by an Israeli occupation official, accompanied by groups of extremist settlers, into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of occupation forces, in violation of international law and as a provocation to Muslim sentiments.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm rejection of all attempts to alter the historical and legal status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, emphasizing the necessity for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to halt these repeated violations.

Kuwait reiterated its steadfast position supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

In a separate statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and rejection of the events that took place in the capital city of Niamey in the Republic of Niger.

The Ministry affirmed Kuwait’s solidarity with the Republic of Niger and its support for all measures it undertakes to preserve its security and stability.
