'US War' Secures Contracts to Triple Patriot and THAAD Missile Production to Three and Four Times Current Levels

The U.S. Department of Defense, commonly known as the Pentagon, announced on Monday the signing of seven-year agreements with American companies Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics to enhance and expand the production of interceptor missiles.

In a statement, the ministry said it is launching multi-year purchase contracts to increase production volumes and accelerate the delivery schedules of critical subcomponents that support interceptor missile programs.

It clarified that the plans aim to triple the production capacity of Patriot PAC-3 MSE missiles and quadruple that of THAAD missiles.

The agreements also include intensifying the manufacturing of key subcomponents, including engine structures, guidance system housings, mid-body sections, and deployable protective cover systems.

Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainability Michael Davi said the announcement represents a model for the evolution of the ministry’s partnership approach with the industrial sector to expand the “freedom arsenal,” counter emerging threats, and ensure that the U.S. military does not face a balanced fight but maintains decisive superiority.
