Trump: We will strike Iran severely in response to its attack on US forces in Jordan

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States would respond forcefully to the Iranian attack targeting U.S. forces in Jordan, affirming that his country would strike Iran “severely.”

Trump added in remarks to Fox News that the U.S. sanctions currently imposed on the Iranian regime have begun to exert strong pressure.

He explained that U.S. air defense systems intercepted all Iranian missiles except for one, noting that it was determined the missile would not hit any significant target.

Trump stated that Iran “has officially become a failed state.”
