“Fox News”: Iran targets U.S. forces in Jordan... all missiles intercepted with no major damage

A U.S. official said that American forces carried out strikes on Iranian military sites on Sunday for the first time in a month, amid escalating tensions in the region.

Axios cited a U.S. source as saying that American forces targeted Iranian military positions to prevent the deployment of naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a related development, Fox News reported that Iran launched attacks on U.S. forces stationed in Jordan.

A U.S. official told Fox News that the Iranian attacks did not result in significant damage, confirming that all missiles targeting U.S. forces in Jordan were intercepted.

Al Arabiya’s correspondent reported the interception of missiles launched from Iran toward Jordan.

Meanwhile, Iranian state television announced the launch of missiles from various parts of the country toward targets in the region.
