Daughter of actress Najlaa Fathi dies following a severe heart attack

Yasmine Saif Abu El-Naga, daughter of Egyptian actress Naglaa Fathy and engineer Saif Allah Abu El-Naga, passed away on Sunday evening following a severe heart attack.

Her father, Saif Abu El-Naga, announced his daughter’s death after a sudden health crisis, clarifying that the funeral and burial rites would be held that night after the Isha (night) prayer.

Abu El-Naga posted a photo of his late daughter on his Facebook account, writing in his tribute: “My beloved daughter, Yasmine Saif Allah Abu El-Naga, the light of my eyes, has passed away to the mercy of God Almighty, following a heart attack.”

Actress Naglaa Fathy married Saif Allah Abu El-Naga in the mid-1970s, and they had their only daughter, Yasmine, before later divorcing.

Saif Abu El-Naga is the older brother of actor Khaled Abu El-Naga. He had only one cinematic experience, portraying the character “Mostafa,” the eldest son of actress Faten Hamama, in the 1972 film “Empire of Mem.”

Despite the film’s great success, Abu El-Naga did not continue his acting career and stepped away from the spotlight to focus on his primary profession as an architect.

Naglaa Fathy later married the late media personality and journalist Hamdy Qandil in 1992, and their marriage lasted until his death.
