For the third time... 'Information Technology' returns 'Paperless Government' to 'Accounting'

“The Tenders Committee” approved the award with a cost of 9.9 million dinars

For the third time, the Central Information Technology Agency returned the contract for the “Paperless Government” project to the Court of Audit for review, audit, and implementation of previous supervisory measures, as well as issuing an opinion on the contract.

The Court had previously returned the case documents to the Agency twice due to certain observations, on June 25 and August 11 of this year.

In a related development, the Agency obtained approval from “The Tenders Committee” to award the project to the bidder compliant with the technical specifications, with a total cost of 9.992 million dinars and an implementation period of three years.

The Agency is awaiting the Court’s approval to proceed with the contract and begin implementing the project, which aims at the digital transformation of government operations and services, among its key objectives. It also seeks to digitize all transactions of government entities, eliminate paper-based documentation and processes, and enhance the efficiency of government services through an advanced, secure, and scalable digital infrastructure. Additionally, it will improve system reliability and facilitate integration with other digital platforms.
