Al-Safa Humanitarian launches 'With Your Gifts We Aid Them 25' and 'Your Gift is Healing 4' trips
Al-Shaie: Supporting Syrian refugees is a humanitarian message that embodies Kuwait’s pioneering role in generosity
The Al-Safa Humanitarian Charity Association announced the launch of its two humanitarian missions, “With Your Generosity We Rescue Them 25” and “Your Generosity is a Cure 4,” running from August 31 to September 14, to continue its relief and medical efforts in supporting affected Syrian families and refugees on the Turkish-Syrian border. This initiative extends the association’s long-standing field humanitarian work and reinforces Kuwait’s and its people’s pioneering role in aiding the needy and assisting those affected by crises.
The mission “With Your Generosity We Rescue Them 25” is part of a series of periodic relief trips organized by Al-Safa Humanitarian, reflecting its commitment to direct engagement with the most vulnerable groups, assessing their conditions, and identifying their needs. This approach ensures that donors’ contributions reach their intended beneficiaries and achieve sustainable humanitarian impact.
The mission includes implementing a diverse range of field projects and initiatives, such as distributing food baskets and essential items, providing clothing vouchers, and visiting widows, orphans, and impoverished families to offer living support. Additionally, the distribution of “Tuk-Tuk” vehicles is part of economic empowerment projects aimed at helping families secure sustainable income sources, transitioning them from dependency to self-reliance and productive independence.
In this context, Mohammed Al-Shaie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Safa Humanitarian Charity Association, emphasized that these missions represent a continuation of the association’s approach of direct field presence and reaching beneficiaries in areas of greatest need. He noted that Kuwaiti humanitarian efforts have, over decades, provided an exemplary model of rapid response, efficient implementation, and diverse humanitarian and developmental projects.
Al-Shaie stated, “Supporting our Syrian refugee brothers and affected families is a noble humanitarian message through which we embody the values of compassion and solidarity that Kuwaitis are naturally endowed with. We convey to them a message of love and brotherhood, affirming that they are not alone in facing their difficult circumstances, and that the generous hands of Kuwaitis will remain, God willing, present with generosity, relief, and hope-building.”
He added that Al-Safa Humanitarian is keen not to limit its interventions to immediate aid alone, but rather to diversify its projects to include relief, healthcare, economic empowerment, and the sponsorship of orphans and widows, thereby contributing to a more sustainable impact on the lives of beneficiary families.
Al-Shaie clarified that the mission will coincide with the launch of the fourth edition of the annual medical initiative “Your Generosity is a Cure 4,” featuring a high-level specialized Kuwaiti medical delegation comprising a select group of consultants in general surgery, otolaryngology (ENT), and urology.
He explained that the medical team will perform several surgeries for needy patients at the MMT American Hospital in Reyhanli, Hatay Province, Turkey, near the Syrian border. The initiative targets patients whose living and financial conditions prevent them from affording treatment and surgical procedures.
Al-Shaie affirmed that the participation of Kuwaiti medical professionals in such missions represents a shining example of humanitarian volunteering, as doctors contribute their expertise, time, and efforts to alleviate patients’ suffering. This effort integrates the generosity of donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the experience of field teams, reflecting the civilized and humanitarian face of the State of Kuwait.
Al-Sha’i concluded his statement by emphasizing that the projects and initiatives achieved by “Al-Safa Humanitarian” are, by the grace of God Almighty, the fruit of the trust of people of goodwill and the support of donors, stating: “We are proud to serve as a bridge for the generosity of Kuwaitis, carrying their humanitarian message to those in need wherever they are. We will continue, God willing, to work with professionalism and expertise to maximize the impact of their donations, transforming them into food for the hungry, treatment for the sick, a source of livelihood for families, and new hope in people’s lives.”
“Al-Safa Humanitarian” called on benefactors and donors to continue supporting the relief, medical, and humanitarian projects implemented by the association, and to contribute to alleviating the suffering of affected families.
