Deputy Minister of Interior: Selecting outstanding personnel to support the Coast Guard with qualified national cadres

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayb emphasized today, Sunday, the importance of applying selection criteria with utmost precision and transparency, and ensuring the selection of outstanding candidates, thereby contributing to strengthening the Coast Guard sector with qualified and trained national cadres meeting the highest academic and specialized standards.
This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior following Major General Al-Wahayb’s chairing of interviews for applicants seeking to join the student officer course for high school graduates (Coast Guard specialization), to be held at the Muhammad bin Ghanim Al-Ghanim Maritime Academy in the sister state of Qatar.
The statement noted that the interviews were held in the presence of Assistant Deputy Minister for Supporting Security Services Affairs Major General Fawaz Al-Roumi, and Head of the Education and Training Sector Brigadier General Khaled Al-Humaidi, in accordance with established procedures and criteria for selecting candidates, ensuring the attraction of qualified individuals capable of pursuing the maritime specialization.
It added that the interviews are part of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to preparing and qualifying national cadres, and enhancing readiness in security and maritime fields, within the context of ongoing cooperation and coordination between the State of Kuwait and the State of Qatar in security education and training and the exchange of expertise, thereby strengthening the capabilities of security force members and elevating the level of specialized qualification and training.
