'Ministry of Interior': Three suspects arrested with 1,560 bottles of alcoholic beverages intended for trafficking

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for Combating Narcotics, arrested three suspects in two separate cases, with 1,560 bottles of imported alcoholic beverages intended for trafficking in their possession.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that this operation is part of the continuous security efforts to apprehend distributors of intoxicating substances and pursue lawbreakers.

It clarified that in the first case, the Local Combating Narcotics Department arrested suspects in the Hawalli area, where 12 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 320 Kuwaiti dinars from sales proceeds were found in their possession.

The ministry added that the second case resulted in the arrest of a suspect in the Salmiya area, who was found in possession of 1,548 bottles of imported alcoholic beverages intended for trafficking.

It noted that the suspects and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
