Ministerial Decision to Amend the Colors of the Clinical Uniform for Healthcare Practitioners

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi issued Ministerial Decision No. 301 of 2026, concerning certain amendments to the regulations governing the standardization of the general appearance, official uniform, and professional attire in the public and private sectors, as stipulated in Ministerial Decision No. 70 of 2026 and Ministerial Decision No. 198 of 2026.

The decision was published in the official gazette, "Kuwait Today," in its edition issued today, Sunday. After linguistic review, its articles stipulate the following:

Article One

The provisions of this decision shall apply to human physicians, dentists, nursing and midwifery staff, pharmacists, and technicians belonging to professions assisting the medical profession, regarding the colors of scrubs, in accordance with the table specified in Article Two of this decision.

Article Two

The table included in Article Five of Ministerial Decision No. 198 of 2026 regarding the regulations for scrubs, concerning the determination of scrub colors for each category of healthcare practitioners, is amended to read as follows:

1. Medical professions (physicians and dentists): Dark navy blue.

2. Supervisory positions held by nursing and midwifery staff: Navy blue.

Acquisition of telescopes and astronomy equipment

Analysis of data and demographic statistics

News

3. Nursing and midwifery staff: Royal blue or white.

4. Pharmacists: Gray.

5. Technicians belonging to professions assisting the medical profession: Olive green.

Article Three

This decision shall be notified to those concerned with its implementation, and shall take effect from the date of its issuance, and be published in the official gazette.
