'Blue Hand' Defeats Jordan in Asian Junior Championship
Kuwait’s junior national handball team defeated their rivals from Jordan 25-23 on Saturday, in the classification matches for fifth to eighth place of the 11th Asian Championship, which serves as the qualifier for the 2027 Junior World Handball Championship, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Despite trailing 12-13 at halftime, Kuwait’s “Blue Hands” players outperformed themselves in the second half, overturning the scoreline to secure the victory. Kuwaiti player Abdulhadi Barak was named the match’s best player.
With this win, Kuwait will face, on Monday, the winner of today’s evening match between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, to determine the fifth and sixth place finishers.
