Reuters: 6.2-magnitude earthquake strikes east of the Gulf of Aden

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck east of the Gulf of Aden late Thursday evening, according to Reuters, citing Germany’s Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences.

The centre said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Meanwhile, the US Geological Survey estimated the quake’s magnitude at 6.0, also at a depth of 10 kilometers. No immediate reports of injuries or damage were received.
