Analysis... and Analysts

Analysis... and Analysts

A Space for Time

All news channels, particularly Arab ones, as well as the comments and analyses we receive through media and social platforms, offer us much that is unhelpful. Rather than adding value to the listener or viewer, they generate noise and present media appearances that are neither useful nor acceptable, nor do they demonstrate an awareness of what is happening here and there.

Some of these analysts and commentators, whether from within their own countries or from abroad, hold a clearly positive view of both the Arab and regional arenas, here and there, because they criticize every negative decision that may be destructive to political, economic, social, or developmental issues undertaken by their governments. These decisions have plunged them into political or economic quagmires and stalled their social and civilizational developmental progress.

In contrast, domestic analysts who simply flatter the status quo with arrogance, and others who, unfortunately, do not read the political and media landscape, appear to interpret analyses with their papers upside down. They are unable to persuade, speak coherently, or connect facts and events; for them, appearing on screen or before a microphone is merely a goal and an opportunity.

The world of analysis is something else, understood by those developed media channels that select their analytical personalities from the very reality people live in. These individuals possess extensive experience and expertise in economic, political, and social matters. They do not indulge in daydreams; rather, they open the pages of reality that touch upon the truths and life of their societies.

From this, we say: the selection of analysts and critics varies in distinction from one station to another, ranging from professional discourse to discourse outside the bounds of media logic.

Therefore, most channels characterized by chaos and confusion have failed and faded with time and events, because they fed on clowns and bankrupt supporters.

Their currency has become like counterfeit paper money, unapproved and forged, and this applies equally to the substance of their media analysis... and their analysts. God is the one sought for help.
