Defense Minister and Pakistani Army Chief Discuss Enhancing Defense Cooperation and Coordination

Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali met today, Thursday, with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that the meeting discussed existing coordination between the armed forces of the two countries, opportunities to develop areas of joint work, and exchanges of views on several topics related to bilateral relations, contributing to strengthening and developing defense cooperation between the two friendly nations.

The meeting, held as part of the official visit program to Pakistan, was attended by Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Khalid Al-Sharhan, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Nasser Al-Mutairi.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that the Defense Minister returned to the country on the evening of the same day. He was welcomed by Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Engineer Hamoud Mubarak Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, and members of the Military Defense Council.
