Foreign Minister and British Counterpart Discuss Strengthening Relations and Regional Developments

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber held a telephone conversation today, Thursday, with British Foreign Secretary and Minister for the Commonwealth and International Development, Ed Miliband.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Sheikh Jaber Al-Jaber congratulated Minister Miliband at the outset of the call on his assumption of his new post, wishing him success and achievement in his duties.

The statement noted that the call also reviewed the historic ties between the two friendly countries and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields, as well as discussing the latest regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region and ensuring the safety and freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
