U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that the United States strongly desires to end Iran’s nuclear program through negotiations, emphasizing that Washington prefers the diplomatic path but will destroy Iranian nuclear facilities if necessary.
Wright added that the United States cannot allow Iran to remain a threat to global energy supplies, noting that Tehran has a nuclear weapons program and that Washington’s objective is to prevent it.
