'Al-Najat': 'Bab Khair Every Friday' serves more than 87,000 beneficiaries in the first half

Dr. Rashid Al-Hamad, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Najah Charity, confirmed that the “Bab Khair Every Friday” (Door of Goodness Every Friday) project contributed during the first half of 2026 to serving 87,294 beneficiaries, with total donations amounting to 287,446 dinars, through humanitarian, developmental, health, and educational projects in several countries.

Al-Hamad clarified that the project is one of the distinctive initiatives that provide donors with a recurring opportunity to contribute to projects with a direct impact on the lives of beneficiaries. He noted that it is implemented in accordance with approved frameworks and regulations, with the approval of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He explained that humanitarian projects accounted for the largest share of beneficiaries, reaching 54,310 individuals, followed by developmental projects with 22,870 beneficiaries, then health projects with 9,214 beneficiaries, while 900 people benefited from educational projects.
He pointed out that the project’s scope covered several countries and regions. The number of beneficiaries reached 80,904 in Yemen, 3,150 in Kuwait, 1,500 in Palestine, 950 in Egypt, 400 in Sudan, and 390 in Albania. He emphasized that this diversity reflects the comprehensiveness of the association’s mission and its commitment to directing donations toward humanitarian priorities.
Al-Hamad stated that the “Bab Khair Every Friday” initiative is based on providing a continuous opportunity for philanthropists to contribute to diverse projects that meet real needs. He affirmed that the association “does not view donations merely as a financial value, but rather as a means to create sustainable humanitarian and developmental impact.”
He added that Al-Najah Charity strives to ensure that donors’ contributions reach projects that make a real difference in people’s lives, whether in education, relief, health, or development, while fully adhering to the official regulations governing charitable work.
He confirmed that the association continuously works to develop its projects and select the most impactful initiatives, particularly those addressing basic needs and contributing to improving the quality of life. He stressed that the trust of donors is a responsibility that the association strives to uphold through transparency and the proper allocation of donations.
