Action-movie-style theft: Thieves loot a truck's cargo while it's in motion in Egypt

In a scene reminiscent of action movie chases, a video circulating in Egypt captured moments in which a group of individuals seized goods from a moving truck on a road in the New Cairo area, before security forces moved in to identify the suspects and pursue them.

The viral footage showed a light pickup truck approaching a larger truck while both were in motion. Several individuals were riding in the bed of the first truck, and they managed to reach the rear bed of the second truck, steal some of its cargo, and transfer it to the vehicle they were occupying.

According to “Telegraph Egypt,” the incident occurred on a road in the New Cairo area. The video spread across social media platforms, drawing attention due to the manner in which the theft was carried out while both vehicles were in motion.

The Monitoring and Surveillance Unit of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior recorded the video, and security agencies conducted investigations into the incident, which resulted in identifying the suspects visible in the footage.

Security forces at the Cairo Security Directorate are intensifying their efforts to apprehend the suspects and take legal action against them.
