Minister of Health Establishes 'Fertility Medicine Unit Laboratory' in Women's and Maternity Departments

Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi issued a ministerial decree establishing the “Fertility Medicine Unit Laboratory” within the obstetrics and gynecology departments of Ministry of Health hospitals.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Health said the decree regulates the technical and administrative supervision of fertility medicine unit laboratories, and clearly defines the tasks, responsibilities, and qualifications required for their directorship.

It added that the decree aims to strengthen quality control and monitoring programs, track performance indicators and outcomes in accordance with approved standards and requirements, support integration between laboratories and clinical teams, and develop, train, and evaluate specialized personnel.
