'SpaceX' plans to build a $100 billion mega spaceport in Louisiana
SpaceX is preparing to take its space race to an unprecedented scale in terms of size and operational capacity, having revealed on Tuesday plans to build a massive launch base in Louisiana, United States, with investments of no less than $100 billion, to serve as a new hub for Starship vehicle operations.
Construction at the site is scheduled to begin in 2027, with the facility expected to handle thousands of annual flights using Starship vehicles, which the company owned by Elon Musk is currently developing in Texas.
