In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), PACA emphasized that this step aligns with its strategy to expand its presence in specialized international organizations and institutions, strengthen international cooperation and partnerships, and contribute to the development of the civil aviation sector in the State of Kuwait, thereby raising the level of services provided to passengers.

The Authority noted that membership enables access to specialized programs and initiatives offered by ACI in areas such as passenger experience, service quality measurement, operational performance, safety, security, sustainability, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, alongside training and capacity-building programs that contribute to developing the national competencies and capabilities of personnel working in the civil aviation sector.

It further clarified that ACI provides its members with opportunities to exchange experiences and best practices with airports and airport operators worldwide, leveraging international experiences to develop infrastructure and services, enhance operational efficiency, and support PACA’s plans to develop the Kuwait International Airport system, keeping pace with the rapid developments in the global aviation industry.

The Authority added that its membership in ACI represents a step that strengthens Kuwait’s presence within the global airport network and supports the Authority’s direction toward developing Kuwait International Airport by utilizing best practices and specialized expertise in the airport industry.

ACI is the global organization representing the interests of airports and their operators, comprising 811 member organizations that manage and represent more than 2,200 airports in over 160 countries worldwide. It works to support the development of the airport sector in areas such as safety, security, operational efficiency, sustainability, service quality, and passenger experience.
