Kuwait Finance House Continues Electronic Customer Service During the Holiday

Via the mobile app, website, electronic branches, contact center, and social media

During the holiday period, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) continues to provide its banking services to customers around the clock through its mobile app, alternative channels, and digital platforms. Most banking services are available via the electronic application or through electronic branches located in many areas and key sites dedicated to serving customers and executing their transactions. This is complemented by the bank’s social media channels and numerous other electronic service channels, leveraging the latest financial technology tools and digital platforms.

In a press statement yesterday, the bank said that the KFHOnline app features a modern design and smart banking services. KFH continues to develop its electronic services through the app, reaffirming its leadership in digital innovation and excellence in delivering advanced financial solutions that meet customer needs and provide a seamless banking experience, while underscoring its distinction in implementing its digital transformation strategy.

The KFHOnline app offers more than 200 banking services. Key new services include the immediate issuance of prepaid virtual cards via KFHOnline, allowing customers to manage limits for their debit and supplementary credit cards, view their Al Waha Club mileage and membership number, perform local and international money transfers, open additional bank accounts in Kuwaiti Dinar and various foreign currencies without visiting a branch, view PINs and card details for credit and ATM cards, activate new debit cards, temporarily suspend debit cards, create deposits, add beneficiaries, check balances, request checkbooks, open gold accounts, conduct gold buy/sell and gifting transactions, apply for financing, view financing obligations and installment counts, access investment plans, obtain account and deposit balance summaries, manage children’s accounts, and pay bills for local telecommunications companies, among many other electronic banking services.

Additionally, KFH’s “Hybrid branches” offer further services, meaning customers can benefit from unlimited electronic services through digital channels. Customers can interact directly with staff or use self-service machines and modern technology.

Electronic branches represent a smart banking channel that helps shift routine customer transactions to an innovative electronic branch, providing capabilities that enable customers to access high-efficiency banking services, covering more than 80% of the services and operations offered by traditional branches.

Electronic branches are equipped with XTM (eXtended Teller Machine) devices, enabling direct voice and video communication with service staff, alongside ATMs and cash deposit machines. The cash deposit machines can accept 200 banknotes in a single transaction.

Through its electronic branches scattered across various locations in Kuwait, customers can access a diverse range of interactive banking services, including: creating Murabaha commercial transactions, requesting credit and prepaid cards, updating personal data and phone numbers, activating bank cards, opening deposits and accounts, instant checkbook printing, immediate bank card printing without prior request, receiving 10-gram gold bars, and opening Gold, Savings, Rabih, ATM, and Hissad accounts. Additionally, customers can buy and sell gold, withdraw cash without a card via the mobile app using a QR code or through their civil ID or phone number, and deposit cash without a card via the mobile app using a QR code or their civil ID, among many other financing and banking services, all delivered with ease, speed, and security.

Contact Center... Available Around the Clock

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) stated that its Contact Center continues to provide round-the-clock services to receive customer calls, listen to their requests, and respond promptly, supported by a qualified workforce and advanced technology. The automated phone service at 1803333 operates with the same efficiency and speed to handle account transfers, financial transaction inquiries, and other requests.

Social Media Channels and “Wamda”

KFH confirmed that its social media team continues to respond to customer inquiries and provide service around the clock across its various social media accounts under the handle @KFHGroup.

Furthermore, KFH successfully launched “Wamda,” a digital service that allows customers to send and request funds instantly and free of charge, 24/7, to another KFH customer or to any local bank using a mobile phone number. Funds can be requested via the digital “Wamda” service by sharing or scanning a QR code from KFH Online. Customers can also transfer funds to credit and prepaid cards from local Knet bank accounts via the KFH Online app.

The bank also introduced an account-opening service for new customers through digital sales devices, by deploying the first portable D-POS device in the market. This device enables the immediate opening of accounts for new customers on KFH’s systems, anywhere.

Customers can now open accounts in major currencies via KFH Online, a service previously available only at branches. Additionally, integration with Western Union services allows KFH customers to use Western Union for international transfers through the app. KFH also provides instant transfer services to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries via the Afqaf network on the mobile app.

Corporate Services... Electronic

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has successfully launched new services through its mobile corporate e-banking application, designed to facilitate and expand corporate operations. The bank also introduced facial recognition technology using biometric identification for secure and convenient login to corporate accounts. In addition, a range of other distinctive services are available via the dedicated corporate e-banking website.

KFH has also launched corporate debit cards, introducing three new products specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses, both locally and globally. Key features of these cards include cash withdrawals and deposits, check deposits, as well as access to point-of-sale (POS) terminals and online payment gateways for government transactions, alongside local and international POS terminals and online payment gateways.

Furthermore, KFH has introduced corporate credit cards, a specialized and distinctive product for business owners. These cards are linked to the company’s bank account, enabling the business owner to issue cards to employees for streamlined management of business expenses, including daily operational costs and one-off travel expenses. The corporate credit card facilitates better cash flow management and provides enhanced oversight of employee expenditures.
