Al-Awadhi Trading Company issued its 2025 Sustainability Report yesterday, marking the third consecutive year of publication, reaffirming its commitment to responsible business practices, enhancing transparency, and creating long-term sustainable value.

In a press statement, the company said the report highlights its key sustainability efforts and progress across four main pillars: workplace sustainability, community responsibility, responsible governance, and environmental sustainability. It sheds light on initiatives that support the development of institutional performance and enhance the company’s positive impact. The report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2021, reflecting the company’s commitment to strengthening disclosure practices and integrating sustainability principles into its various operations.

In its efforts to enhance workplace sustainability, the company continued to reinforce a culture of quality and operational excellence, achieving a compliance rate of 94% with food safety standards and brand requirements, while maintaining adherence to international quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015. These efforts positively impacted customer experience, with the company scoring 4.21 out of 5 on the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) index, alongside a customer service satisfaction rate exceeding 76%.

In the area of community responsibility, the company continued to invest in human capital development, delivering 5,069.89 training hours in 2025, an 85% increase compared to the previous period. Additionally, the proportion of employees receiving regular performance and professional development evaluations rose by 15%, accompanied by a 25% decrease in employee turnover, reflecting its efforts to provide a supportive and stable work environment.

Al-Awadhi Trading Company also invested KD 1.7 million in community initiatives and programs that supported various social, educational, and humanitarian causes in Kuwait, demonstrating its commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact on society.

The company further strengthened its corporate governance practices, achieving a female representation rate of 44.4% on its board of directors. No material compliance violations or customer data breaches were recorded, underscoring the strength of its governance frameworks and its dedication to responsible business practices, as well as its commitment to protecting information and building trust with stakeholders.

In its efforts to improve environmental performance, the company recorded reductions in several key emission sources, including a 28.69% decrease in vehicle fuel consumption, an 18.76% reduction in facility fuel consumption, and a 16.37% drop in business travel emissions. These achievements reflect its ongoing efforts to minimize its environmental footprint. Furthermore, recycling initiatives contributed to emission reductions equivalent to 146.42 tons of carbon dioxide, aligning with the company’s commitment to enhancing resource efficiency and supporting sustainable practices.
