'Interior Ministry': 224 individuals apprehended and 445 violations issued during a security campaign in the capital
The Directorates of Security Affairs sector, represented by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, carried out an extensive security campaign covering several areas of the governorate, in cooperation and coordination with the Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition. The operation resulted in the apprehension of several wanted individuals and law violators, the impoundment of a number of vehicles, and the issuance of traffic violations.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the campaign led to the arrest of 187 individuals in criminal cases, absconding cases, and violations of the Residency and Labor Law, as well as wanted persons. Additionally, 23 individuals were apprehended under judicial detention, three were street vendors, four had expired visas, one was found in an abnormal state, two were involved in begging cases, and four lacked final identification documents.
The ministry added that the campaign also resulted in the issuance of 445 traffic violations, the impoundment of 10 motorcycles at the traffic garage, the removal of 19 abandoned vehicles in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality, and the closure of one restaurant in coordination with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
