162 Wanted Individuals and 86 Illegal Residents Arrested by 'Najda'

- 12 individuals referred to the “Narcotics Control” department

The General Directorate of Emergency Police continued its field campaigns across various governorates of the country from August 16 to 22, achieving results in both security and traffic domains.

In a statement, the Directorate said that the campaigns yielded the following security outcomes: the apprehension of 162 wanted individuals pending legal proceedings, and 86 others on charges of violating residency laws. Additionally, five individuals were detained for possession of substances suspected to be narcotics and intoxicants, and seven individuals were found in abnormal conditions; they were dealt with and referred to the Narcotics Control department.

It added that security operations included the impoundment of 10 wanted vehicles, the apprehension of 23 individuals lacking official identification, and the provision of 1,334 humanitarian assistance cases, bringing the total number of executed security operations to 2,383.

On the traffic front, 1,932 traffic violations were issued, 51 violating vehicles were impounded, and the Operations Directorate received 131 reports of traffic accidents, which were handled accordingly.

These efforts are part of the Ministry of Interior’s plan to enhance security and traffic discipline, with continuous awareness and monitoring campaigns operating around the clock.
