The Authority had previously launched the tender for the construction of the building and obtained approval from the Central Tenders Board to award the contract to the bid that complied with technical specifications, in accordance with prevailing procedures and frameworks. Concurrently, the Authority requested the Central Tenders Board’s approval to launch a supervision practice for overseeing the execution of the project to construct, complete, furnish, maintain, and operate the main headquarters building.
The Board of Directors of the Central Tenders Board, during its meeting held on Wednesday, August 19, decided to postpone ruling on the Authority’s request to launch the supervision practice, pending receipt of a subsequent letter from the Authority containing the amendments discussed, within five working days. The supervision practice accompanies the tender for the construction of the building, through which the consulting entity will monitor project works and supervise their execution.
