First Moon Hotel to Accept Reservations in 2032
- At a cost that may exceed $10 million per person
The emerging US space company "GRU Space" continues to accept applications from individuals wishing to be among the first guests of a hotel it plans to build on the Moon’s surface, stating it will be the first of its kind, with operations targeted to begin in 2032.
According to the company’s official website, applicants undergo a selection process, while arrangements for participation, booking, and pricing are discussed privately with selected candidates, with no fixed final price for accommodation currently specified.
The announced project plan involves sending a construction payload to the Moon in 2029, followed by deploying a lunar habitat and construction systems in 2031, paving the way for the targeted hotel to be sent in 2032.

GRU Space states that the hotel will consist of a compact inflatable structure, manufactured on Earth and then transported to the lunar surface, accommodating up to four guests per stay lasting several days, with views of both the Moon’s surface and planet Earth.
According to the company, the hotel is designed to operate for up to 10 years. Its broader plans include using technologies to convert materials from lunar soil into construction elements used to build infrastructure on the surface.
GRU Space announced the lunar hotel project and opened applications for prospective guests last January, setting 2032 as the target year for beginning guest reception. Reports published at the time of the project’s launch indicated that the deposit for selected applicants ranged between $250,000 and $1 million, while the final accommodation price had not yet been determined.
