Haaland surprises his fans with a new look

Ahead of the start of a new English Premier League season, Norwegian striker Erling Haaland chose to make a strikingly different debut by ditching the long blonde hair that had become synonymous with his image in previous seasons.

The Manchester City forward posted a photo on his social media accounts showing him with a very short haircut, captioning it: “New season, new haircut.”

The 26-year-old also shared another image on the X platform, showcasing the stages of his haircut, and commented: “New hair, don’t care.”

Haaland is expected to make his first appearance in his new look on the pitch when Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Haaland had previously revealed during an interview with host James Corden on Fox Sports last July that he had maintained his previous hairstyle based on advice from Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Haaland said that Zlatan advised him against cutting his hair, adding: “He told me: Never cut your hair, because strength lies in the hair.”
