'Discrimination' Orders a Contracting Company to Pay 264,000 Dinars with 7% Annual Interest

The Court of Cassation issued a final ruling ordering one contracting company to pay the sum of 264,253 Kuwaiti dinars and 939 fils to another contracting company, in settlement of financial dues arising from subcontracting works.

The dispute stems from the defendant company’s breach of its contractual obligations and its refusal to pay the dues and financial claims resulting from the contracting works carried out by the aggrieved company.

The Court of Cassation upheld the judgment, with modifications, adding legal interest at a rate of 7% annually, calculated from the due date of March 1, 2020, until full payment.
