Syrian security personnel injured in bomb explosion in Damascus countryside

Several members of Syria’s Internal Security Forces were injured on Saturday following an explosion of an improvised explosive device that targeted a bus carrying them on the Ma’arouna–Al-Tel road in the Damascus countryside.

A security source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that competent authorities are following up on the circumstances of the incident, while investigations continue to identify those responsible for the terrorist attack.

SANA reported that on August 6, an improvised explosive device exploded on a passenger bus in the city of Jaramana, in the Damascus countryside, injuring 14 people. The Ministry of Interior is continuing its efforts to uncover those involved in that terrorist act.
