The bank stated that this contribution embodies Al-Watani’s deep sense of national responsibility and its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s assets, reaffirming that the role of national institutions extends beyond supporting the economy to actively contributing to enhancing the readiness of strategic facilities and supporting state efforts under all circumstances.

The initiative also reflects the approach adopted by Kuwait National Bank in directing its contributions toward projects of national priority, leveraging its position as a leading institution keen on contributing to the development process and strengthening the foundations of growth and stability.

The statement clarified that this contribution underscores the bank’s leadership in national and community responsibility, as well as its long-standing track record of launching and supporting strategic initiatives with sustainable impact, embodying its vision of creating real value for society and supporting the state’s development aspirations.

It is worth noting that the Council of Ministers, in its meeting No. (32/2026) – (118) held on August 18, approved the Ministry of Interior’s request to accept the contribution of one million Kuwaiti dinars from Kuwait National Bank, in support of the restoration and rehabilitation works of the country’s land border crossings.

The bank added that this initiative is an extension of a continuous series of strategic contributions made by the bank to vital sectors in the country. The most recent included a contribution of 1.3 million Kuwaiti dinars to develop Kuwait International Airport facilities and enhance its operational readiness as a sovereign gateway for the state. Additionally, the bank provided US$5 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, managed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, reinforcing its pioneering role in supporting government efforts to address crises and exceptional situations, mitigating their impacts efficiently and flexibly.
