Acting Director of the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality Branch, Saad Al-Kharinj, stated that the supervisory team, represented by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Marine Sanitation Center, conducted a field inspection of the site, revealing encroachments on state property consisting of isolated rural dwellings with illegal structures, mobile chalets, and camps for overgrazing.
He added that warning notices were posted on these encroachments. Given that the specified deadline for their removal had expired and their owners failed to comply, the Sanitation Department, in coordination with the Violations Removal Section, demolished the fixed structures erected on state property. Meanwhile, the General Sanitation Department removed the mobile chalets and transferred them to the municipality’s impoundment site.
He noted that work at the site continues until all encroachments and anything that spoils the public appearance are completely removed.
Al-Kharinj emphasized that the General Sanitation and Road Obstructions Management Department at the governorate municipality branch continues to carry out inspection campaigns through its field teams and sanitation inspectors around the clock, with the aim of tackling encroachments and curbing the phenomenon of violations of state property and breaches of the General Sanitation and Road Obstructions Law.
