Turkey issues international arrest warrant against Netanyahu over 'Flotilla of Resistance' case

Turkey announced on Friday the issuance of an international red notice against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in connection with the case concerning the assault on the “Flotilla of Resistance” bound for Gaza.

Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurler stated in a post on social media that judicial proceedings related to the attack that occurred in international waters on activists from the “Global Flotilla of Resistance,” which was heading to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, are ongoing.

He clarified that the 11th High Criminal Court in Istanbul is hearing the case, numbered 2026/108, which involves 35 defendants, including Netanyahu.

Gurler added that, based on arrest warrants issued on July 14, the Ministry of Justice has requested the Ministry of the Interior to issue a “red notice” to track down the suspects internationally, noting that relevant documents have been referred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
