'Interior Ministry': Three suspects arrested with drugs and psychoactive substances

They were in possession of illicit proceeds, gold, and valuable items derived from trafficking profits.

The General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, following intensive surveillance and investigative operations, arrested three suspects in possession of quantities of narcotics, psychoactive substances, and alcoholic beverages intended for trafficking and personal use.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that investigations revealed the suspects had concealed and disguised the proceeds of their illegal activities, converting a portion of the profits from trafficking in psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages into high-value assets, including luxury watches and gold, alongside retaining cash proceeds from sales.

The operations resulted in the seizure of 120 Lariqa capsules, 150 grams of Lariqa powder, 60 psychoactive tablets, and three bottles of alcoholic beverages, in addition to 40,000 Kuwaiti dinars representing the proceeds from the sale of psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages.

The seized items also included four luxury watches valued at approximately 50,000 dinars, and 7 kilograms of gold valued at approximately 311,000 dinars, all obtained through the sale of psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages, along with a sensitive scale.

All suspects and seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
