Saudi drama is set to welcome a new series titled “Hubtain” in the near future, joining the competition of the Summer 2026 drama season, amid expectations of widespread audience viewership due to its suspenseful plot that blends action with social drama.

Story

The series belongs to the genre of social drama infused with action. The events revolve around a dramatic narrative that explores themes of love, betrayal, and loyalty, as well as internal conflicts and the impact of past decisions on the protagonists’ lives. The series highlights a segment of social and youth life in the capital city of Riyadh, focusing on the culture of car drifting, the world of automobiles, and related challenges, with the hidden aspects proving even more significant. These elements form a core part of the story’s plot and development, featuring chase scenes and stunts filmed according to modern production and cinematic standards.

Drama Stars

The series features a select group of Saudi talents, most notably Naif Al-Bahr, Abdulmohsen Al-Nemer, Faisal Al-Zahrani, Aida Al-Qusay, Reem Al-Ali, Najoud Ahmed, and others. The work is written by Ahmed Nada and directed by Al-Fawz Tanjor. The series is scheduled to premiere on September 2 next year on the “Yango Play” platform, consisting of only eight episodes.

Timeline

The preparation and production process for the series took more than two full years. Actor Abdulmohsen Al-Nemer expressed his great enthusiasm for this new dramatic experience, posting a photo of himself with the series director during the first days of filming on his Instagram account. He commented: “‘Hubtain’ is a new and distinctive experience that brings me together with the creative and virtuous director Al-Fawz Tanjor, whose eye captures many details and possesses a unique cinematic sensibility. He is the creator of the most distinguished project of Ramadan 2024, ‘Al-Sharrar’ (The Villains). The series features many young Saudi stars and is produced professionally by Kalila Production, led by Ms. Fawzia Asiri.”
