UN Ambassador for Community Partnership and Chairman of the Board of Al-Awazem Charity Foundation, Hamad Al-Basiss, participated in the Congress proceedings, emphasizing that Kuwait possesses a pioneering experience in charitable and humanitarian work. He noted that maintaining this status requires developing charitable tools, enhancing governance, transparency, and transitioning from implementing initiatives to measuring their true impact.

Al-Basiss stressed the necessity of moving from individual and fragmented efforts to an institutional system based on planning, partnerships, and results measurement. He affirmed that the success of community initiatives is not measured solely by the volume of spending or the number of projects, but by the tangible and sustainable change they create in the lives of beneficiaries.

The Congress also featured a scientific lecture delivered by Professor Ali Al-Ibrahim, Vice President of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, which addressed the concept of corporate social responsibility and linked its practices to governance, ethics, international standards, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Al-Awazem Charity Foundation participated as a Gold Sponsor of the Congress, which was organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in collaboration with Al-Ru’ya Omani newspaper. The event discussed issues related to institutionalizing social responsibility, legislation, governance, sustainability, and the role of the private sector in achieving developmental impact.

Following the award ceremony, Al-Basiss affirmed that the honor represents an addition to the record of Kuwaiti charitable work. He pointed out that the next phase requires transitioning from the "volume of giving" to the "volume of impact," and from isolated initiatives to institutional partnerships, thereby enhancing the sustainability of Kuwaiti humanitarian and community work.
