'Interior Ministry': 22 suspects arrested in 13 drug and psychotropic substances cases involving trafficking and consumption

The General Directorate for the Suppression of Narcotics has arrested 22 suspects in 13 separate cases, following intensive surveillance and investigations that uncovered their activities and led to their apprehension, with quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances found in their possession intended for trafficking and personal use.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the operations resulted in the seizure of 466 grams of methamphetamine, 350 grams of heroin, 148 A4 sheets saturated with chemical substances, 100 psychotropic tablets, 70 grams of marijuana, 30 marijuana seeds, 20 grams of hashish, 15 psychotropic tablets, as well as 11 sensitive scales and various drug paraphernalia.

It added that all suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them, as part of the continuous security efforts to combat the scourge of narcotics and pursue their traffickers.
