Director of National Identity Centers: Enhancing Arab Cooperation to Combat Digital Piracy, Forgery, and Illegal Immigration

The Director of the National Identity Management Centers in the State of Kuwait, Colonel Qanooni Nasser Al-Khudair, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of civil nationality and civil status administrations in Arab countries keeping pace with technological developments to ensure the protection of privacy and data.
This came in a statement Colonel Al-Khudair gave to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during his participation in the Ninth Arab Conference of Directors of Civil Nationality and Civil Status Administrations, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior in Tunis.
He underscored the importance of ensuring the confidentiality of personal data and protecting privacy, especially with the advancement of digital hacking methods, emphasizing the need to develop civil nationality and civil status administrations and secure documents in Arab countries so they can keep pace with new developments and advancements related to the use of artificial intelligence technologies.
Colonel Al-Khudair outlined the State of Kuwait’s experience in the digital transformation of civil nationality and civil ID card management, stressing the importance of enhancing joint Arab cooperation among Arab civil nationality and civil status administrations to confront emerging challenges, particularly waves of illegal immigration and document forgery.
He considered that the exchange of information among nationality authorities in Arab countries contributes to combating digital hacking and crimes that threaten the security of Arab states, expressing the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior’s commitment to enhancing joint Arab efforts to serve security in our Arab region.
Representing the State of Kuwait at the conference, alongside Colonel Qanooni Nasser Al-Khudair, is First Lieutenant Fahd Al-Azmi, from the International Cooperation Department and the General Administration of International Relations.
