The Authority stated in a press release that the Farwaniya Governorate Inspection Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Manpower, carried out a joint inspection tour of hookah cafes in the Al-Aridiya Artisan Area to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and bylaws.

It added that the tour resulted in the issuance of 10 violation reports, including five reports against workers for handling food without obtaining health certificates, and five reports against business owners for employing workers without health certificates.
In the Capital Governorate, the Inspection Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, managed to detect several serious health violations at a restaurant in the Bineed Al-Qar area, leading to the taking of legal measures and the closure of the establishment.
The Authority noted that the violations included handling food unfit for human consumption and contaminated with Salmonella bacteria, handling food in unhygienic conditions, and the lack of technical and health requirements, which exposed the food to cross-contamination. Additionally, there was a failure to comply with general hygiene rules and standards, with dirt and live cockroaches found inside the establishment.
The violations also included operating the food establishment after its health license had expired, workers handling food without obtaining health certificates issued by the competent authorities, and the employer hiring workers without health certificates.
The Authority emphasized the continuation of its inspection tours in cooperation with relevant authorities and the taking of necessary legal measures against violators, in order to safeguard the health and safety of consumers.
