Deputy Minister of Interior Inspects Latest Technological Systems to Enhance Speed of Apprehending Wanted Persons and Solving Security Cases

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahib, accompanied by Assistant Deputy Ministers and several sector heads and security leaders, reviewed a comprehensive presentation delivered by the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector regarding its operational framework, key systems and services, development projects, and its role in strengthening institutional integration among the ministry’s various sectors.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the presentation covered the mandates and tasks of the sector’s departments, as well as the services they provide to support the ministry’s sectors and meet their human, technical, and security needs. It also highlighted efforts to develop the work environment, improve performance efficiency, accelerate transaction processing, and enhance their accuracy and quality.
The presentation further outlined the latest technological systems used to develop security work tools and improve the efficiency of information exchange. These systems contribute to the rapid apprehension of wanted individuals, support investigative and inquiry efforts, and enable the efficient and precise handling of security cases. Additionally, they enhance the capacity of field sectors to carry out their duties and take necessary actions with the required speed.
The presentation also addressed the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior through the unified government electronic services application, “Sahl,” along with plans for their development and the addition of more services in the future. These initiatives aim to simplify procedures, accelerate transaction processing, reduce burdens on visitors, and minimize the need for in-person visits to ministry offices.
Al-Wahib emphasized that the ministry operates according to a clear developmental approach that forms the foundation of its digital transformation journey, driven by its core responsibilities of ensuring security and providing services to citizens and residents. He stressed that developing systems and leveraging modern technologies represent a fundamental pillar for enhancing the efficiency of security operations and improving the quality of services provided.
