Sharp Increase in Taxes

Sharp Increase in Taxes

Dialogues

The highly perceptive individual is someone with keen attention and high mental alertness, particularly one who cannot overlook the finest details, and especially one characterized by a propensity for critical thinking. Such a person is naturally observant and objective in thought, and their mind rarely rests from contemplating everything that surrounds them. They also possess the capacity for full awareness, particularly a distinctive situational awareness. However, in today’s turbulent world, highly perceptive individuals are often forced to pay metaphorical taxes due to their exceptional intellectual and psychological distinctiveness. Among these taxes are the following:

- The Turbulent Mind: The waves of a highly perceptive person’s mind rarely calm down, due to the exceptional activity of all their mental mechanisms, especially because they utilize a large portion of their mental energy in daily life. This may cause significant intellectual, psychological, and physical fatigue. Their mind also fails to rest because it continuously generates ideas, theories, and logical analyses about external realities. It is rare not to find this type of person physically exhausted, requiring more time to achieve physical rest.

- Difficulty Dealing with Simple-minded Individuals: The highly perceptive person, especially if psychologically sound, does not look down on those less sharp than themselves, but they struggle greatly to keep pace with those less attentive and intellectually acute. They may encounter considerable embarrassment during interactions with ordinary people, because they think within a mental framework entirely different from what is conventional.

- The Sense of Deadly Loneliness: At certain times during the day, the highly perceptive individual may experience near-deadly loneliness, because they need to occupy their mind by thinking about matters and goals they can achieve within the day to feel psychological comfort. Due to their sharp perception and rapid task completion, they end up with large amounts of free time. If they do not use this time in fulfilling intellectual or physical activities, they begin to suffer bitterness.

- Intolerance for Nonsense: The highly perceptive person cannot tolerate what they consider empty talk, which, in my view, is the most costly tax they pay.
